Privacy policy
Effective 3 November 2026 · FoodSwipe for Android, version 0.1.0
Your meal choices stay on your device.
FoodSwipe is provided by JBOCGames. This policy explains how the Android app, this website and support enquiries handle information. Contact us at FoodSwipe@jboxgames.com for privacy questions or requests.
Information in the app
The app saves your food exclusions, appearance preference, haptic feedback preference and reduced-motion preference in its private storage on your device. We use these settings only to personalise the app on that device. Your current swipes and shortlist are held in app memory and are not restored after a fresh launch.
JBOCGames does not receive your food choices or preferences. The app has no account system, advertising, analytics, tracking SDK or developer-operated crash-reporting service. It does not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, camera images, microphone recordings or advertising identifier. Meal photos and fonts are bundled with the app, so choosing meals does not require a network connection.
Storage, security and deletion
Preferences are stored in the app’s private storage, protected by Android’s application sandbox and your device’s security settings. FoodSwipe does not add separate encryption to these preferences. Keep your device protected with a screen lock and current system updates.
Preferences remain until you change them, clear FoodSwipe’s storage through Android Settings, or uninstall the app. Clearing storage or uninstalling removes the app’s locally stored preferences. FoodSwipe has no remote copy to delete and no account to close. The release configuration disables Android backup and excludes app data from Android cloud backup and device transfer.
Links and the support website
Opening privacy, support, photo-source or licence links launches your browser. The website you visit then receives the information browsers normally send, such as an IP address and browser details. Wikimedia and other linked sites operate under their own privacy policies.
This support website is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes technical request information, including IP addresses and request metadata, to deliver and secure the site. We do not add analytics, advertising trackers, contact forms or cookies to these pages. Cloudflare’s handling and retention of its technical service information is described in the Cloudflare privacy policy.
If you email us
If you contact FoodSwipe@jboxgames.com, we receive your email address, any name your email includes, your message and any attachments you send. We use that information to answer your enquiry and resolve support or privacy requests. Please send only information needed for your enquiry.
Cloudflare forwards support mail to a Gmail inbox used by JBOCGames; Cloudflare and Google process the correspondence to deliver and store it. We do not sell it or use it for advertising. We retain correspondence for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and related follow-up, or to meet applicable legal obligations. You can ask us to delete correspondence by emailing the same address. We will delete it unless it must be retained for a legal obligation or an unresolved dispute, and explain any such exception.
Sharing and platform services
We do not sell personal information or share your on-device meal selections. Information voluntarily sent for support is handled by the mail providers described above. We may disclose correspondence if legally required. Google Play and Android may separately process information for app distribution, device backup settings, diagnostics or other platform services under your Google and device settings; these services are not operated by FoodSwipe.
Children
FoodSwipe does not require personal information to use its meal selection features. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. A parent or guardian who believes a child sent personal information to support can contact us to request deletion.
Changes and contact
We will update this page and its effective date if the app’s data practices change. Questions, access requests and deletion requests can be sent to JBOCGames at FoodSwipe@jboxgames.com.
